Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Business Litigation, Jocelyne Macelloni represents businesses and business owners in state and federal courts throughout the country. Her practice areas include corporate disputes, employment, construction, commercial real estate transactions and disputes, asset recovery, factoring, and other secured transaction-related matters. Ms. Macelloni has spent over a decade representing factoring companies and asset-based lenders both in and out of court. She has developed extensive familiarity with business operations in diverse industries, including construction, freight forwarding, and import-export trade. She has enforced secured creditors’ rights and protected creditors’ rights in bankruptcy, gaining significant experience in both jury and non-jury trials. As the Director of Education at Barakat + Bossa, Ms. Macelloni is responsible for the weekly training of all litigation staff, including legal assistants, paralegals, and attorneys, on issues such as civil procedure, trial strategies, and legal matters that regularly impact the firm’s clients and their businesses. While attending law school, Ms. Macelloni was an active member of the Nova Law Review, served as Vice Justice of Phi Alpha Delta, spent a semester studying International Law at Università degli Studi Roma Tre in Rome, Italy, and received a Certificate in International Law upon graduating. Ms. Macelloni is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida as well as the Middle District of Florida and has received pro hac vice status to serve clients in jurisdictions across the country. She is an active member of the American Bar Association and Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce and teaches civil litigation as an adjunct professor of law at Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law
